Anim(a) is a series of acrylic paintings on paper.

The title refers to the Latin word "anima" ("breath", "soul") from which the word "animal" is derived.

The set of paintings explores the boundary between two dimensions, the animate and the animal, depicting a variety of shapes in motion that may evoke an animal or a phantasmagoric figurality. They may be perceived as kinds of snapshots, as if their trajectory had been suspended, captured in it quintessence. It is the breath of motion or the movement of breath, both animate and animal.

Acrylic paints (black, turquoise blue and white); various palette knives; series 1 (paintings 1 to 7): photo paper (10x15 cm); series 2 (paintings 8 to 12): white 180 g drawing paper (24x32 cm).
